Sensor technology for Fibre Composites

Due to the properties of fiber composites, they have become very popular in the development of modern structures and objects. However, the structure of fibers and matrix material is accompanied by types of defects that are characteristic of fiber composite components. Damages often occur within the fiber-matrix structure, which are not visible. Under load, this can lead to total failure of the structure.

Due to their enormously high sensitivity, iNDTact sensors are able to detect different defects such as fiber or matrix breaks in structures. In addition, testing for leaks can already be performed during the manufacturing process.
